Hi there! I’m Damon. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and currently live in Dallas.
I’ve spent my entire career in customer-facing service roles in a wide variety of industries - automotive, business data, family entertainment, and veterinary to name a few. This has helped me develop a really strong sense of empathy with the customers I interact with on the day-to-day.
A few years ago, I began losing satisfaction with the work that I was doing, and eventually had a realization: rather than triaging client and customer problems on the back-end, I could help design solutions on the front-end. It was this notion that led me to the field of UX – the idea of being able to balance creativity with strategic decision making, all in the name of building something better for the user.
Outside of my professional life, I have several different hobbies; I play roller derby, tabletop games, and video games. I also enjoy 3D printing, and will occasionally dabble in electronics repair and restoration (primarily old video game consoles). On top of all of that, I somehow manage to find time to take care of 5 dogs and a cat.
